The simple way to recovery from CFS/M.E.

I am in the process of rewriting my book. It is amazing how the book has been changing and evolving since I first started writing it! And I have been changing and evolving too. The "me" I was then is gone and there is a "new me" - a new experience of life.

After about six months of being symptom-free, I started to think what the process of recovery was really about. I wanted to put it all into one sentence that would summarize the whole idea of overcoming CFS/M.E. and I knew it had to be simple. I needed a sentence that would wrap up my path to recovery and serve as the central idea of the book so that it would have a stronger foundation. It came to me last night when I was about to sleep. So here it is:

Remove all obstacles to feeling good!

Although it may sound too simple, I think it's the truth. I am well aware that I may be ostracized for putting recovery from something as "complicated" as CFS/M.E. in so simple terms, but I still like the sentence. The simplest things are always beautiful. Consider this.

What does being healthy mean to you? Think about it for a minute. Have you ever tried to define it?

Here's what I think:

I am aiming at maximum simplicity again: being healthy means ... feeling good (not just physically but also emotionally). Or we could even use the word GREAT!

There is something more to being healthy though. It is something that is often overlooked - happiness. Plz check out my new blog entry at http://fatiguesyndrome.wordpress.com/2010/12/16/happiness-and-health-what-can-chronic-fatigue-syndrome-teach-us/

The Symptom Path to Enlightenment - an introduction to Ericksonian therapy

*The Symptom Path to Enlightenment is a book by Milton Erickson's student Ernest Lawrence Rossi, Ph.D that discusses how patients can learn to understand their body's messages.

In Rossi's own words:

"I teach entirely natural procedures whereby patients can learn to recognize the meaning of their own sensations, emotions, thoughts, creativity and developing points of view. I help patients discover the new frames of reference that their inner mind-body is creating spontaneously at many levels within themselves. Life is naturally creative - we are always in a state of creative flux to deal with an ever changing world. I help patients to create or, better, to discover the naturally healing reframes that are taking place in themselves all the time. In my most recent book I call this "The Symptom Path to Enlightenment." People learn how to listen to the message that their stress induced symptoms may be telling them. They learn how to convert their so-called "symptoms" into "signals" of how and when they need to do their own inner healing. By heeding the message of their symptoms they gradually acquire their own insights and "enlightenment" about how to better their lives and facilitate their own healing."

You can recover from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome!

It is a popular belief that there is no cure for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or M.E. I have never believed it - even though I suffered from CFS for 15 years. I have always believed that if there is a problem, there must be a solution. And there really IS a solution to the riddle of CFS/M.E. I was looking for a way (anything that works) to overcome CFS for years and finally found the answer... I healed myself using mind-body healing techniques and am completely recovered now. The healing methods I used involve none of the more traditional methods - pacing, pills, mercury filling removal, special diet... none of that was necessary. I just had to start paying attention to my body and mind (Bodymind), remove the blockages that stopped life-force energy from flowing freely, and start living my life in accordance with how I really feel. That was all that was required for regaining full health. I am completely symptom-free now and feel as good as before I fell ill with CFS/M.E.

My main message is that recovery from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is not only possible - it is a truly wonderful and miraculous experience! I didn't fully believe it myself until I had completely recovered. It seemed as if there was no way to regain my health, but I'm now awestruck by this simple and beautiful truth that recovery can happen. And what is more: getting your life back is free! Good health is our birthright and we do not necessarily have to pay for it. But this if of course secondary to the fact that recovery from CFS is possible. The more I think about it the more gratitude I feel. What an amazing world it is!

Here's something that pharmaceutical companies don't want you to know:

You CAN overcome CFS without any medication

The approach I used to beat CFS is called Reverse Therapy. It is a completely natural and drug-free approach which aims at dissolving "chemical memories" that trigger symptoms in different situations. It is normally done with the help of a therapist, but I did it on myself and succeeded. So it should be possible for anyone. Books on Reverse Therapy gave me the basic understanding about how mind-body healing works and the rest of necessary know-how came with experience. I applied the principles of Reverse Therapy in my life and regained my health fully. It was not only Reverse Therapy that helped me to overcome CFS - I also used two powerful energy healing methods: EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and TAT (Tapas Acupressure Technique). These techniques are invaluable tools and I encourage everyone to try them. The instructions are freely available in the internet and once you learn the techniques, you can deal with ANY emotional imbalance and almost any disease in the comfort of your own home without any costs for medicine. Isn't this amazing?

It took me four years to recover fully, but would have taken less if I had worked on it more intensely - after I had made some major progress I started to enjoy my new state of wellbeing and didn't make much effort to make myself feel better. I was OK, but the wish to completely recover from CFS never left me and I decided to walk to the very end of the road in 2008. And I made it. During the process of recovery I also wrote a book, which I am about to publish online. The book describes how I healed myself and teaches how to overcome Chronic Fatigue Syndrome by yourself without any medicine and no costs for medicine. It is called "I healed my CFS/M.E. and so can You: An Account of Mind-Body Healing."
